The city is experiencing a rise in temperatures once again after last week’s rainfall, with hot and humid weather dominating much of the metropolis.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a new forecast indicating the possibility of more rain across parts of Sindh, including Karachi, in the coming days.
PMD spokesperson Anjum Nazeer stated that monsoon winds have started entering southeastern Sindh, increasing the likelihood of rainfall in several areas.
Districts such as Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Mithi, and surrounding regions are expected to receive rain from July 2 through July 5.
For Karachi, the forecast indicates mainly cloudy and humid weather, accompanied by the possibility of light rain or drizzle during this period.
The PMD has further said that moderate rainfall is likely in the metropolis between July 8 and 11, as the monsoon system advances.
The residents are advised to remain alert and follow official weather updates, particularly in areas prone to waterlogging and traffic disruptions during downpours. Authorities may issue further advisories as conditions evolve.
The recent rainfall brought a brief respite from the hot weather, lowering temperatures temporarily.
However, since the conclusion of the rain spell on Sunday, the city has experienced a return of high temperatures and elevated humidity.
