  • Veteran actor Abid Kashmiri passes away at Age 74

    Pakistani actor Abid Kashmiri has died in Lahore, as confirmed by his daughter. He had been unwell for some time prior to his passing.

    Kashmiri was celebrated for his extensive contributions to television, stage, and film, and had a prolific career, featuring in hundreds of dramas and films.

    He was known for his versatile acting skills and received widespread acclaim for his performances.

    The late actor is survived by two sons and two daughters. Recently, he had returned to Pakistan and made appearances on various TV talk shows, although he had been residing in the United States.

    Kashmiri was also honored with the Nigar Award for comedy for his role in the 1988 film “Bazar-e-Husan.”

     

    He has also starred in noteable dramas like “Samundar,” “Suraj ke Sath Sath,” “Teesra Kinara,” “Apnay Log,” and “Lohari Gate.”
