Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi reportedly confessed to the police that he attempted to murder Bollywood star Salman Khan in 2018.

According to Pinkvilla, the Delhi police is currently interrogating Bishnoi for his involvement in singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder in late May. Amidst the investigation, the gangster allegedly admitted to have plotted the Ek Tha Tiger star’s murder in 2018.

According to reports, he said that the shooter he hired couldn’t get a clear shot because he was using a pistol. Bishnoi then purchased an RK Spring rifle worth Rs1.1 million to get the job done.

Times of India cited a source and stated, “Sampat Nehra, a key member of the Bishnoi gang, went to Mumbai a couple of years back and he stayed there with the intention of killing Salman Khan. When Sampat Nehra was arrested in 2018, he also revealed the gang’s plan to kill Salman Khan. A rifle was also seized from Sampat Nehra which was purchased for this purpose.”

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor and his father Salim Khan received threatening letters in June, mere days after the Moose Wala incident. It read, “Salim Khan, Salman Khan bahut jald aapka Moose Wala hoga.. [Salman Khan will be your Moose Wala very soon].” An FIR was filed and the Mumbai police quickly sprang into action and confirmed Bishnoi’s involvement. Meanwhile, Salman’s lawyer also received a threatening letter.
