    The University of Engineering and Technology has banned jeans for the girls. The female students cannot wear jeans anymore.

    According to the notification issued by the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, the students cannot wear the jeans in the university.

    The University management has directed to the male students to wear only dress pants and shirt along with the coat. On Fridays, the male students must be dressed in Shalwar Kameez.

    The UET administration has banned jeans not only for female students but also for male students.

    Last year on December 2, 2018, King Edward Medical College Lahore also issued a new dress code for the students. It also banned the jeans for the students.

    Earlier, the National University of Science and Technology, Islamabad has also taken the initiative to ban jeans and tights for the girls.
