A representative body of private schools operating in Karachi has decided Thursday to close down schools due to uncertain situation in the city.
Sharfuz Zaman, Chairman Private Schools Management Association, made an announcement in this regard.
He said that it has been decided to shut all private schools due to current situation in Karachi.
Tension gripped the city as MQM decided to stage sit-ins in different areas of Karachi in protest against arrest of its party workers overnight.
The announcement of sit-ins also triggered traffic jam on main roads and shops were being closed in several areas.
