  • UAE pledges support to boost Pakistan's economic crisis: Petroleum Minister

    Federal Minister for Petroleum and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that the visit of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi would have very positive results to boot Pakistan’s economy.

    While talking to media, he said the UAE leadership has assured to steer Pakistan out of the present economic crisis.

    The Minister said during the delegation level talks, both sides discussed provision of oil facility on deferred payment to Pakistan like that of Saudi Arabia.

    On the other hand, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, Zulfikar Abbas Bukhar said the UAE is Pakistan’s largest trading partner in the Middle East and a major source of investments.

    The minister informed that UAE leadership also assured to review the policy to allow the overseas Pakistanis to carry mobile phones with them.

    He said both sides also discussed the issue of Pakistanis imprisoned in the UAE jails and the Crown Prince was requested to softly deal the issue of those prisoners who are involved in petty crimes.
