  • IFC seeks success in Pak SME sector

    A workshop was organized by International Finance Corporation at a local hotel Tuesday.

    This series of BE Partnership workshops is the premier event for Business Edge stakeholders in the region to create connections, share insight and to leverage opportunities.National Productivity Organization (NPO) being one of the partner of IFC’s Business Edge has also participated in the workshop with the aim to learn from the IFC partner s organization s experiences and take new initiatives for enhancing productivity in SME s of Pakistan.

    The theme of the workshop was “Collaborating for Greater Success”. The resource speakers included Ms. Khadiga Hassan Fahmy from Egypt and Ms.Awena Lebeschu from Lebanon.Around forty professionals from 17 IFC partner organization s from Pakistan and Afghanistan have participated in the workshop.

    Various session’s were conducted with the objective to provide sharing and learning opportunity for BE training providers in Pakistan and Afghanistan.Main issues were also discussed about the challenges faced by BE training providers and solutions are identified.During the workshop SME Toolkit and other online tools related to business management process were introduced.IFC is scheduling BE trainings for SME with its partner organization like NPO, BSF, NUST, MDI, ECI and Fulcrum.

    Business Edge (BE) specialized training products are developed by International Finance Corporation (IFC) and focus on core management skills, such as financial, operational, marketing, human resource management and sound leadership skills.
