United States (US) has expressed grief over the crash of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft which claimed 47 lives.
Deputy Spokesman of the US State Department Mark Toner, in a press briefing in Washington, said that American government and people were sad over the plane crash in Pakistan.
Mark Toner also offered assistance in relief work and investigation on the behalf of the US government.
It should be noted that a PIA jet heading to Islamabad from Chitral crashed near Havelian moments after it disappeared from radar. All 47 people, including passengers and crew, were killed in the air crash.

Talking on the meeting between Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and US Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken, Toner said that the two officials discussed counter terrorism and the threats faced by the region due to terrorism in detail.
The spokesman said that Pakistan and Afghanistan have to work together against terrorism.
