Another attack by Daesh to capture Deir Ezzur Military Airport has been repelled by Syrian Army and the army units killed tens of Daesh terrorists and injured dozens more in heavy clashes near the airport.

The Syrian army repelled another Daesh attack on Deir Ezzur military airport. The Syrian troops also destroyed several vehicles equipped with 23mm machine guns near Deir Ezzur military airport.

The army units also foiled Daesh terrorists' attempt to attack the al-Taym oilfield in the countryside of Deir Ezzur and managed to destroy their armored vehicle before reaching a military post in the area.

Also in the past 24 hours, military sources in the Southern province of Sweida said that the Syrian army troops' operations on Daesh positions in the province resulted in the killing and wounding of scores of the militants.

The sources said that the Syrian army stormed the gathering centers of the Daesh near the villages of al-Qasr and Rajm al-Dawleh in Sweida province and killed tens of the militants.

Elsewhere, Governor of Syria's Hasaka Mohammad Za'al al-Ala underlined that the provincial forces' full preparedness to repel any possible attack by the terrorists, and said that the Daesh has been pinned down behind the gates of his province.

"According to the information that the Hasaka province's security committee has obtained, Daesh is facing a very bad situation," al-Ala told FNA.

He reiterated that a large number of the Daesh militants have fled Hasaka to Turkey and from there to Europe.

Meantime, the media reports said that the Daesh terrorists were on the run to save their lives after sustaining heavy casualties in the Russian airstrikes in the Syrian governorate of Raqqa.

"A large number of foreign Daesh terrorists have fled Raqqa for Iraq after the Russian warplanes pounded their hideouts," the Arabic-language El-Nashre news website quoted eyewitnesses as saying.

The report said that many Daesh militants and their families have escaped form Tal a-Saman villages in the Northern parts of Raqqa.

The Syrian air defense command said that the Russian Air Force struck the Daesh-held Tabaqa airbase in Raqqa governorate’s Western territories, destroying the military barracks after two airstrikes above this large military base.

The Daesh terrorists sustained considerable damage as a result of the Russian airstrikes on the Tabaqa airbase.

In addition to their airstrikes inside Tabaqa, the Russian Air Force struck the Daesh positions at the Al-‘Ajrawi Farms; this farm area is located outside of the Tabaqa airbase and used by the terrorist group as a weapons supply depot.

To the East of the Raqqa governorate, the Russian fighter jets continued their airstrikes above the Hasaka governorate, attacking the terrorist group at the cities of Al-Shadadi and Al-Houl, while the Syrian Air Force struck an Daesh convoy along the Deir Ezzur-Hasaka Highway.

Elsewhere, the Russian air force launched airstrikes on the Daesh terrorists' positions in the province of Homs.

The Russian warplanes destroyed the Daesh military hardware, arms and fuel depots in the town of Quaryatayn in Homs province in precision airstrikes.

Quaryatayn is located 85 kilometers from the city of Homs and 160 kilometers from Palmyra.

Quaryatayn is of strategic importance because it links Palmyra and the Eastern parts of Qalamoun in Damascus countryside; FNA reported.
