  • Saudi airstrikes hit more areas across Yemen

    Saudi Arabia has continued its assaults on Yemen, bombarding several places across the impoverished country.

    According to local media reports on Sunday, five Saudi airstrikes hit the Shaykh Uthman district in the southern port city of Aden. There are no immediate reports of casualties in the attacks.

    Reports further said a Yemeni woman was killed and an elderly man was injured after a Saudi air raid targeted the Sahar district in the northwestern province of Sa’ada.

    A woman and a child were also injured after Saudi warplanes hit a house in the southwestern city of Dhamar in Sa’ada.

    Saudi fighter jets targeted a transportation vehicle in the southern province of Lahij. There have been reports of casualties in the airstrike but no exact figure has been announced yet.

    Also, a Yemeni civilian was killed after artillery shells fired by Saudi forces hit a road linking Sa’ada with Yemen’s northwestern province of Hajjah.

    Earlier in the day, Saudi fighter jets targeted the presidential compounds in the al-Nahdain and Jabal al-Naqam neighborhoods of the capital, Sana’a. Saudi warplanes also fired a number of missiles into Faj Attan and al-Hafa military bases on the western outskirts of Sana’a, as well as the al-Arqoub military camp, which lies east of the Yemeni capital.
