The Shawwal moon has been sighted and Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated in the Middle East and Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia today (Monday).
Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramazan. The moon sighting committee in Saudi Arabia met on Sunday to witness the moon.
Iraq’s Grand Mufti Rafi al-Rifai announced Sunday that Eid Al-Fitr would begin Monday. People of Gaza under aggression of Israel would also observe Eid today amid worst circumstances with blood and dead bodies of their loved ones.
Most of the Arab, European, American and Canadian Muslims celebrate the holy month of Ramazan and Eid Al Fitr on the same dates as the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
