Facebook and Messenger are one of those apps on smartphone which cause frequent worry for users as they expand in size with every update and are way slower if the internet connectivity is weak.

Facebook Lite and Messenger Lite are available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. These are better, faster and simpler versions of the giant apps. Despite limited features, the lighter versions allow users to communicate easily even in weak internet connectivity.
Messenger Lite doesn’t have some features like Stories and gifs. It takes less space in the internal storage as compared to spacious Messenger. Also, it uses a little RAM and battery to function which avoids any sluggishness.
The app uses less internet data which makes it a cheaper option. Messenger Lite works perfectly fine on older smartphones and devices as well and has been made to increase the number of users irrespective of their medium.
Those smartphones which don’t support the heavier Messenger app can download Messenger Lite and put an end to their misery. These versions have been made available in majority of the countries where Facebook is amongst the popular apps.
