    Establishment of Precision Systems Training Centre at Gwadar is also under consideration.

    The Government is planning to establish Science and Technology Institutes in different disciplines for rapid socio economic development in the country.

    For this purpose, Ministry of Science and Technology has devised a National Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy.

    A summary for approval of the Strategy document has been sent to the Prime Minister.

    After approval of the strategy document, different Science and Technology Institutes would be established across the country including backward areas within ten years.

    Ministry of Science and Technology is also considering to establish Precision Systems Training Centre at Gwadar at a cost of over 777 million rupees. Upgradation of fruit processing and analytical laboratories and establishment of gemstone cutting and polishing centre at Skardu are also under consideration.
