    Pakistan XI beat UK Media XI by 133 runs in the Peace Cup 2017 cricket match which was played at Miranshah's Younis Khan Stadium in North Waziristan on Thursday.

    UK Media XI won the toss and chose to field against Pakistan XI.

    Pakistan XI scored 253/4 in their given 20 overs thanks to blistering half centuries by Shahid Afridi and Kamran Akmal.

    Chasing 254 runs to win the match, UK Media XI could only manage to score 120 runs on the scoreboard.

    Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Inzamam-ul-Haq said that international cricket will return to the country soon. He added, "The match is sending a message to the entire world that Pakistan is a peaceful country."

    Large number of children and tribal elders were also present in the stadium to watch the cricket match.
