    The Asian Hockey Federation(AHF) proposed Pak-India series to be  held in Dhaka. Bangladesh is hosting Asia Cup after 32 years.  Dhaka would turn out to be best neutral venue for resumption of Asian Hockey Super-powers series.

    In a press conference at Dhaka, PHF chief executive Tayyab Ikram said he is very much happy for returning Asia Cup’s Dhaka saying it Bangladesh  will be hosting Asian event after 32 years, now federation is considering to hold traditional- rivals series in Dhaka.

    The Asian Hockey Federation has announced the schedule for Hero Men’s Asia Cup 2017. The tournament will take place from 11th to 22nd October this year.

    The 10th edition of the quadrennial event will take place at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka.

    The tournament will witness stiff competition among the top-performing teams from across Asia with big stakes at play, the biggest incentive being a direct ticket for the winning team to the World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Bhubaneswar, India from November 28 to December 16, 2018.

    Pakistan, India, Japan and Bangladesh are in Pool A, while Malaysia, Korea, China and Oman are in Pool B.
