    Pakistan team have on Saturday reached back after winning the IBSF World Team Snooker Championship that was hosted by Egypt.

    The players were warmly welcomed at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi where the champions Muhammad Asif and Babar Masih were greeted with garlands of flowers.

    It is worth mentioning here that the final of the world championship was held between both Pakistani teams, and the duo of Asif and Babar emerged victorious after beating the pair of Asjad Iqbal and Muhammad Sajjad by 5-4.

    Both teams showed impressive play and were equally poised at 4-4 during one stage of their match. However, Masih and Asif scored the winning points to register their victory.

    The two played in sublime form throughout the tournament. Iqbal and Sajjad had outclassed Wales by 4-0 in their semi-final while Masih and Asif became victors in their semi-final match against Ireland. The players were congratulated by Pakistan Billiard and Snooker Association (PBSA).

    Asjad Iqbal and Muhammad Sajjad also came back with the champion team, and received a wonderful welcome as well. Muhammad Sajjad also complained about the lack of facilities provided by the government to cueists, and questioned that do cricket, squash and players of other sports deserve all the prizes?
