    Sources have revealed that Haris Sohail will be flown in to England to replace the unfit Umar Akmal in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

    Earlier, while talking to reporters earlier today, chief PCB selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said middle-order batsman Umar Akmal had failed fitness tests ahead of the mega event and as a consequence, had been withdrawn from Pakistan’s Champions Trophy squad.

    The PCB chief selector cleared out the team management conducts fitness tests prior to every series.

    It has been disclosed that Akmal failed two fitness tests during ongoing training camp in England ahead of Champions Trophy, and has therefore been dropped from the team.

    Moreover, It is not the first time that Umar Akmal failed his fitness test. The 27-year-old could not clear the test that was taken in March before the West Indies tour, and was also the only player to be dropped from the team owing to fitness.

    He worked on his fitness afterwards in the Pakistan Cup, and was recalled for Champions Trophy.

    it is worth mentioning here that Pakistan will start their ICC Champions Trophy campaign against defending champions India on June 4 for in Edgbaston.
