  • Mohammad Nawaz likely to be suspended over spot-fixing issue

    All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has on Thursday appeared before Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) anti-corruption unit (ACU), and may face suspension over spot-fixing issue.

    As per details available, the cricketer is facing the charge of not informing ACU about the offers that he received from bookmakers during the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

    It is worth mentioning here that PCB has already banned Mohammad Irfan from all formats of the game for one year over the same charge, and also fined him one million rupees.

    Other cricketers including Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Shahzaib Hasan and Nasir Jamshed have also been provisionally suspended by PCB over alleged spot-fixing, and is conducting the inquiry.
