Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar has on Sunday telephoned star all-rounder Shahid Afridi and assured him to grant land for his cricket academy.
According to details, Sardar Muhammad Bux told that he talked to Shahid Afridi and made it clear that Sindh government is ready to grant him land for the cricket academy.
The sports minister asked Afridi to choose a ground and inform the government about it, as Sindh government has decided to make a committee that will look after this plan and finalize the ground.
Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar further told that he is going to meet Shahid Afridi on Tuesday, and will also hold a press conference as well. He said that Sindh has more talent than the other provinces.
It is pertinent here to mention that Shahid Afridi lambasted Sindh government on Saturday for refusing to lend him land to start a cricket academy. He said that he request Sindh government, but was refused.
Afridi said he intended to build an academy to train power hitters for the game under the guidance of foreign coaches.
