The ICC meeting at Dubai turned out to be a huge blow for Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as it was heavily out-voted on the governance structure and also the revenue model.

According to the Times of India, the BCCI was unable to gain the confidence of other member nations as it lost 9-1 in voting for a change in the governance structure that would threaten the Big Three structure.

Moreover, the BCCI had also to suffer a major blow when it was out-voted 8-2 on the revamped revenue model.

It is pertinent to mention that the Indian board was the only member objected not only to the new financial model but also the new governance changes.

Apart from the Indian board, the Sri Lanka Cricket also opposed the newly proposed governance structure.
