Pakistani offspinner Bilal Asif has been reported for suspicious action on Tuesday a day after third and final ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare Sports Club.

International Cricket Council (ICC) has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about the bowling style of Bilal Asif whereas PCB is fully confident that the spinner will pass the phase.

According to details, Asif’s bowling action had never been reported earlier at domestic level as well as in second ODI against Zimbabwe.

Bilal Asif was included in the squad against Zimbabwe to fill the bowling hole left by Mohammad Hafeez, who has been banned for one year for an illegal bowling action.

The offspinner outlined his potential value to Pakistan ahead of upcoming games against England as his five-wicket haul clinched the third and decisive one-day international against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club on Monday.

Playing in just his second ODI, Asif wrecked the Zimbabwe line-up with figures of 5 for 25 as the hosts were bowled out for 161, then scored 38 as Pakistan chased their target in 34 overs to win by seven wickets.
