  • Salahuddin resigns as Chief Selector hockey team over poor performance

Former Olympian Salahuddin has on Saturday resigned as Chief Selector of the Pakistan hockey team over poor performance in the World Hockey League.

Talking to media, Salahuddin said that the national hockey team didn’t perform up to expectations.

He further said that new people should get a chance so that they can do something good for hockey.

He said that the Coach Shehnaz Sheikh put a lot of effort in coaching the team.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan team failed to qualify for the Rio Olympics 2016.

Pakistan won only its opening game against Poland in the World Hockey League played in Belgium and suffered defeat at the hands of Australia and Ireland.
