    Bangladesh made their highest World Cup total to defeat Scotland by six wickets on Thursday to edge closer to a quarter-final place.

    Set 319 to win at Saxton Oval, Tamim Iqbal hit 95, Mahmudullah made 62, Mushfiqur Rahmin contributed a brisk 60 and Shakib Al Hasan an unbeaten 52 to see their team to 322 for four with 11 balls left.

    Scotland had posted their highest World Cup total of 318 for eight with Kyle Coetzer making 156, the first World Cup centuryby a Scot.
