Pakistan's embattled chief selector Moin Khan, under investigation by the cricket board for visiting a casino in New Zealand, has been immediately summoned back to the country.

Reports have said that Moin, a former Test captain, had visited a casino on the night of the match against West Indies in which Pakistan were hammered by 150 runs – their worst ever defeat in a World Cup.

Team manager Naveed Akram has started investigation from today (Tuesday).

“Yes, the PCB chairman has asked me to investigate the affair,” Cheema said in Australia without going into details or what action will be taken against Moin.

It emerged today that ex-chairman Najam Sethi, who is now a member of the governing board, had thrown his weight behind the former wicket-keeper, while current chief Shaharyar Khan was strictly in favour of ordering Moin back to Pakistan.
