  • India defeated Pakistan in Kabaddi final

India defeated Pakistan on Saturday in Kabaddi World Cup final by 45 points to 42.

Pakistan was leading the game almost throughout the match but India took the lead in the late minutes of the game and emerged as the winner.

Pakistan’s Shafiq Bhatti alleged the umpires of being biased towards India. He said that umpires pressurized Pakistan side to quickly get on with the game. “They did not even allow us to drink water”, Shafiq said. He said that the third umpire did not take any notice of the threats given by the referee on the field.

Talking to media after the end of the match, Shafiq Bhatti said that the game was ended prematurely. He said that the umpires did whatever they could to keep the world cup inside India. He alleged the umpire of giving decisions against Pakistan.

Threatening to boycott the tournament next year, Shafiq said that Pakistani team will not participate in the world cup next year if such biased umpiring decisions continued to influence the game.
