Dengue surfaces once again in Karachi. Two more people fell victim to dengue during the past week.
Dengue claims two more lives in Karachi. "Two more people fell victim to dengue in the past week.", says head of the anti-dengue cell, Dr. Abdul Rashid. Thus, the dengue death toll this year, rises to 9. Till date, 1300 dengue affected patients, including women and children, have been admitted to hospitals in Karachi.
In terms of avoiding and preventing Dengue, Director Health Karachi Shakoor Abbasi says,"Personal protection and the environmental management of mosquitoes are important in preventing dengue. Water tanks should be kept clean and water should not be left open."
