Unknown attackers gunned down a policeman and injured another in an attack in Kaneez Fatima Society.
As per details, unknown armed men opened fire on police in Kaneez Fatima Society in Sohrab Goth area. As a result, two policemen were seriously injured. One of the cops later succumbed to his injuries.
The slain cop was identified as Ejaz while the inured as Khalid. The injured was taken to a private hospital on Stadium Road.
SSP Malir Rao Anwar said that police was attacked. Soon after the attack, police and Rangers rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
Search operation is underway in the area after the attack and police picked up some suspects.
