Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with Counter Terrorism Department officials Friday night.
According to CTD SSP Omar Shahid, the terrorists were involved in killing of police officials in Korangi and Abul Hassan Isphani Road in Karachi.
He added pamphlets have been recovered from the hideout of the terrorists, which states they were involved in the attack on police on Abul Hassan Isphani Road.
The CTD police and Rangers raided a house in Zaman Town of Korangi Friday night. Subsequently, the terrorists opened fire at the police party. The terrorists were killed in retaliatory fire.
Sources said the killed terrorists belonged to Mufti Shakir faction of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
Earlier in the week, two other terrorists of the same group were killed in a police encounter in Manghopir.
The terrorists planned to attack places of worship and police personnel, the CTD SSP had said.
