    The funeral prayers of the three policemen who were gunned down in the city’s Korangi area on Friday evening, were offered at Garden Headquarters today.

    Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Rangers DG Major General Muhammad Saeed and IGP AD Khawaja were among the ones present at the funeral of the martyred, who were fired upon by unidentified assailants in yet another incident of violence against police officials in the metropolis.

    The dignitaries also offered their condolences to the grieving families of the slain policemen.

    The funeral prayers have also been offered for the child who was killed in the same incident.

    The policemen, who were posted at Awami Colony police station, were not wearing body armour, although they had it present in the vehicle.

    Security personnel reached the scene of the incident following the tragedy and started investigation.

    Earlier in June, four police officials were martyred in a gun attack by unknown assailants in the metropolis's SITE area. The slain policemen were sitting at a table for iftari when they were shot and were not wearing their body armour.
