    Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has on Wednesday expressed that those who remain alive in history are not scared of Panamagate or jail.

    He expressed this while adressing participants at a gathering of an event, adding that had he not ceded powers during his era, Nawaz Sharif would have been the President of the country today.

    Asif Zardari also paid homage to the founding father of Pakistan Peoples Party Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on the opccasion.

    He professed that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had fought against the dictatorial forces whilst his government was finally toppled on July 5, 1977.

    Asif Ali Zardari vowed on the occasion that PPP will continue to fight for democracy.

    PPP Co-chairman also professed that General Zia s dictatorship had a vicious impact on Pakistan and that the country needs to embrace a more democratic tone while getting out of this mindset.

    He added that Pakistan Peoples Party would work for the development of Sindh and strive to make Pakistan a regional power.
