Police and law enforcement agencies conducted an operation in Hub area near Karachi on Sunday and arrested a key member of Lyari gang war Yousaf Pathan.
Sources said that Yousaf Pathan was a close aide of gang war commander Uzair Baloch.
Paramilitary Rangers handed over two target killers to Orangi police. The arrested hitmen, Mashhood and Mohabbat Khan, have confessed killing of 16 persons and injuring a Rangers official during investigation, sources said.
Accused Mashhood said to be affiliated with MQM-London group.
Earlier, police arrested, Asif and Nadeem, from Liaqatabad and New Karachi respectively. Both arrested men have been workers of political parties.
Moreover, police arrested a proclaimed offender, Abdul Jabbar from Mominabad.
