    Former Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has expressed that Muttahida mafia is involved in extortion and target-killing.

    He made this revelation in an exclusive interview with a private TV channel program.

    Ishratul Ebad revealed during his interview with program host that Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) is a mafia that carries out target-killing and receives the extortion money.

    He also expressed that there exists an impression that Farooq Sattar is in touch with London-based leadership.

    Ebad also revealed during his interview that the former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf appointed governor during his tenure after thorough investigation.

    Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan served as governor of Karachi for 17 years and was replaced by Justice Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui last year.

    After leaving the office, Dr Ibad also held meetings with former president Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai while leaving in impression that he might join Pakistan Peoples Party, however the former governor was reported to have rejected the offer.
