Three protesters were injured as police resorted to shelling to dismiss the mob gathered on Sunday to protest against growing number of dacoities in Orangi Town.
Reportedly, Islam Chowk of Orangi Town appeared to be a battle zone when protesters and police clashed over a protest. Three locals were wounded as protesters retaliated the shelling by pelting stones.
Additional contingent of police was called on the site to control the situation and Rangers also arrived on the scene after learning about the news.
However, the police succeeded in dispersing the protesters after putting up a struggle of two hours.
