    Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has apprehended a trainer of suicide attackers among three operatives of banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in an operation on Thursday.

    The law enforcers seized at least 10 kilograms of explosives and weapons.

    Tajuddin, Akbar Jan and Asif belong to TTP, according to sources privy to CTD. Arrested terrorists confessed to being trained by a militant named Sher-e-Azam in Waziristan. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) concerned of CTD, three operatives used to collect funds in Karachi and send to their handler in Waziristan.

    Pakistan is pursuing decisive action against terrorists through a large-scale military operation called Zarb-e-Azb that was launched in 2014.

    A targeted operation, led by Pakistan Rangers is also underway in Karachi in wake of what was termed in 2013 by the federation growing incidence of crime.

    Earlier today, three terrorists were copped by Rangers in a raid in Manghu Pir area.
