Minister of State for Interior Engineer Baleegh ur Rehman has said the Karachi operation was successfully in progress, and it would continue till achievement of its all objectives.
He said Rangers started the operation in the mega city on the request of Sindh government and after all the stakeholders were also taken on board.
He said the law enforcement agencies were rendering unprecedented sacrifices to restore sustainable peace in the city.
The minister said law and order situation in the city was improving as a result of concrete steps taken by the incumbent government.
Baleegh ur Rehman said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif after coming into power, took major decisions including Karachi operation with the consensus of all political parties.
He said majority of seats won by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in local government election reflected appreciation of its government policies by the people.
