Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has claimed rounding up a ‘highly educated’ terror suspect belonging to an outlawed militant outfit in Tuesday’s raid.

“Muhammad Owais Raheel is a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), one of Karachi’s most prestigious business schools. He did his engineering from NED University,” In-charge CTD Mazhar Mashwani told reporters.

Mashwani said Raheel, who was nabbed in Karachi’s upscale neighborhood Clifton, had ties with a number of banned outfits. “We have seized loads of hate literature from Raheel,” said the CTD chief adding,” The suspect was involved in brainwashing young men into jihad.” The CTD chief also revealed the suspect was currently teaching at MA Jinnah University and SZABIST.
