Chief Justice Lahore High Court (lhc) Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has said that measures are being taken to dispense justice to women in districts court of Punjab province.
Calling the role of women judges crucial for dispensing judges Chief Justice Shah said that he wants to enhance the number of judges.
Addressing the Women Judges Conference here Chief Justice Shah informed the audience that LHC has initiated the measures to help resolves issues faced by women judges by including them in its advisory committee for the first time ever.
The LHC has also ensured that the meetings of Welfare Committee for Women are being held at district level. In addition, vehicles have also be distributed to the women judges so as to make them further independent.
Chief Justice LHC informed that over 1.2 million cases are pending hearing across the Punjab province while 3,661 of the total 5,446 cases in 36 districts of the province have been disposed off during the last four months.
