de-seated Nawaz Sharif’s wife is to contest the polls against PTI.
Earlier this month, Nawaz Sharif confirmed in a meeting with party representatives and during a media talk that Shehbaz Sharif was to keep serving as Punjab Chief Minister (CM) reversing party’s initial stance.
PML-N had earlier decided to field Shehbaz in NA-120 who in case of winning the polls would have replaced the supposed interim PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi after a period of 45 days.
However, latest reports suggest that PM Abbasi is to serve as the leader of the House for the remaining term of the ruling party until mid 2018.
