    Security agencies have arrested an alleged facilitator of Lahore’s Mall Road blast. At least 15 people, including six policemen, were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up at Lahore’s busy Mall Road.

    Police said a facilitator was identified through CCTV and later arrested. His seven brothers were also taken into custody.

    Police had announced Rs one million reward for any information about the identity of suspected facilitator. The facilitator is said to be the person who brought the suicide attacker to the bomb site.

    Police arrested at least 50 suspected persons during raids in different parts of Punjab.

    According to details, law enforcers carried our raids in different parts of Lahore and took people into their custody.

    Six people were arrested from Samanabad, 13 from Islampura, four suspects from Gulshan-e-Ravi and three were arrested from Sanda area, police sources said.

    Police and intelligence agencies also carried out operations at hotels and guest houses in Model Town and arrested 15 suspects.

    The law enforcers searched identification documents of the suspects during the crackdown.

    Hafizabad Police in various raids in Afghan settlements in the district nabbed 24 persons.

    The security has been placed on high alert following a suicide attack in Lahore at Mall Road on Sunday evening.

    At least 13 people, including two top police officers of Punjab, were killed and around 108 people were injured in the attack during protests staged by chemists at Lahore’s Mall Road.
