  • Armed forces ready to counter any aggression: PM Nawaz

    Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has that the country’s armed forces are ready and fully capable to tackle internal and external threats.

    The PM said armed forces are successfully foiling designs of anti-state actors by rendering sacrifices, adding that the forces are working on the ultimate goal of enduring peace in the region.

    “This exercise demonstrates that our armed forces are ready to confront any nefarious move of the enemy against our soil.

    Pakistan Army is all prepared to counter any aggression,” the PM said in his speech after witnessing military exercises Raad ul Barq at Khairpur Tamewali near Bahawalpur.

    The exercise was also witnessed by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Rashad Mahmoud, Pakistan Air Force chief and Chinese delegation.

    The exercises, carried out jointly by Pakistan Army and Air Force, was also witnessed by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.

    On the occasion, the Prime Minister was briefed about the exercises, tanks, missiles and modern warheads being used by the armed forces.
