Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif spent Tuesday night with troops in a field near Kharian and observed the night and dawn operations of the central command as part of Army Field Exercises, said an ISPR statement.
The Army Chief also addressed the army officials during his stay, the ISPR said.
The COAS in his address said that the Army field has achieved its goal targets. Army’s operational-preparedness has improved due to the military exercise, he said.
“Our adversary must know while we have been fully occupied in a determined fight against terrorism across the country specially the western border, we have kept ourselves prepared to take on any misadventure or strategic miscalculation by our adversary,” the statement stated the COAS as saying.

The Army Chief during his visit also observed the night and day operations of the central command.
On Monday, Gen Raheel Sharif visited a field area near Lahore and Kharian to observe the ongoing Army Field Exercise.
In Kharian, General Raheel Sharif was briefed in detail about objectives and conduct of the exercise from newly inducted hi-tech net enabled virtual war room. He also witnessed field manoeuvres at night.
