    At least four saboteurs have been killed during an armed encounter with security personnel in Lahore area of Badami Bagh in Thursday’s wee hours.

    It should be mentioned here that police personnel launched the sting operation against the terrorists in Badami Bagh on a tip-off provided by an arrested terrorist.

    The killed terrorists include Haroon Bhatti, Umair and Nadeem, according to police sources.

    It is pertinent to note here that the outlaw, Haroon Bhatti who guided the police to the terrorist hideout was also killed in the shootout.

    Bhatti was arrested from Dubai some days back and shifted into custody of Lahore police.

    According to police, Bhatti was involved in multiple counts of criminal activities including assassinations, murder attempts and kidnappings for ransom.

    According to police, terrorists were killed in gunfire attack by their own accomplices.

    Police also recovered arms and ammunition including ten hand grenades, two SMGs, six magazines, ten IEDs and five remote controls.

    Police said the saboteurs were involved in the targeted killings of Dr. Azeem and Ghulam Raza. They were also wanted in the murder case of Maulana Shams ur Rehman.

    According to police, the criminals launched an assault at the residence of Chief Minister’s Chief Security Officer.

    The criminals were also involved in the killing of Dr. Ali Haider and his son, according to police. The same outlaws were wanted in the murder case of Ali Hussain Qazalbash.
