Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday will hold a rally in Okara regarding NA-144 by-election.

Preparations for the rally have been completed. On the other hand, former member of provincial assembly (MPA) belonging to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Akram Khan Kanju has joined PTI.

The ‘tsunami’ endorsing party has finalised Mozang Jail Road as venue for October 9 rally against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Earlier, the party was supposed to rally on Allama Iqbal Road in Garhi Shahu. Party’s higher-ups decided in a meeting that chairman Imran Khan would expose corruption in government departments while addressing the participants of the rally.

Sources said that Khan will also announce next course-of-action against the ECP officials who allegedly helped the ruling party in rigging the elections.

The meeting was chaired by PTI Punjab president Chaudhry Sarwar. Several prominent leaders of the party including NA-122 candidate Aleem Khan, Shoaib Siddique and Mian Aslam attended the meeting.
