The entry test for medical and dental colleges across Punjab for 3405 seats is underway in 13 cities.
As per details, at least 47,000 students have appeared in entry test for the admission. Only 34 centers were made in as many as 13 cities of Punjab which included Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bhawalpur, Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Hasan Abdaal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sialkot.
Reportedly, centers are facing lack of basic facilities which have irked students during entry test.
On the other hand, students and parents have declared the entrance test as dual education system which is illegal as it judges the caliber of students on the basis of three hours. The parents stated that their children take stress during the preparation of MCAT despite scoring high grades in matriculation and intermediate.
They further urged the Punjab government to take action against the injustice being done in the name of entry test.
