Customs court in Rawalpindi has reserve its verdict regarding Ayyan Ali’s indictment in money laundering case and is due to be announced on July 13.

According to details, the model was brought in the court in armored vehicle. The hearing was delayed for sometime as Ayyan’s lawyer Latif Khosa had not reached the court.

Later when the hearing commenced, Ayyan’s lawyer adopted the stance that custom authorities have not provided all the documents for indictment therefore the relevant proceeding should be adjourned.

Customs law officer argued that all the documents have been submitted whereas suspect’s petition to halt the court proceedings has been dismissed.

Defense counsel also stated that negative propaganda is being carried out against his client for which the court should issue directions for its prevention.

The judge remarked that the propaganda is being done not by the journalists but by some other party.

Ayyan Ali for the first time also burst out in the court and said that she is being subjected to character assassination and is being linked to various political personalities.

She said that the people from whom millions were recovered have been set free. The court reserved its decision in the indictment case till July 13 and also adjourned hearing of the case to register money laundering provisions against Ayyan till July 11.

Ayyan’s father was also present in the court but the model refused to meet him. Moreover, Ayyan’s lawyer has expressed hope that her client’s bail will be approved by Supreme Court (SC) before Eid.
