A delegation comprising representatives of Islamic countries participating in the three-day congregation of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan led by its Amir Siraj-ul-Haq met Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday.
The CM welcomed the JI chief and the delegates from Islamic countries. On this occasion, he said the congregation of the religious party was a splendid display of discipline and brotherhood.
"Islam teaches unity, harmony and brotherhood and there is a need for adopting this golden principle in our lives," he urged.
Shahbaz highlighted that the purpose of creation of Pakistan was to set up a system of equality and justice where all citizens have equal opportunities of justice so that an Islamic welfare state can be set up in reality.
Later, talking to media, the CM once again congratulated Siraj-ul-Haq on holding the three-day congregation in a disciplined manner.
Speaking on this occasion, Haq said that he was thankful to CM Sharif and his team for extending full cooperation for holding the event.
He asserted that unity and harmony is the solution to all problems being faced by the Islamic world.
