Numerous cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Chitral experienced 5.2 magnitude tremor on Friday night.
There have been no reports of casualties so far. However, many people fled their houses reciting the verse of Holy Quran after feeling the earthquake jolts.
Citizens in Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, Dir, Chitral and surrounding areas felt the tremor around 11:51.
The earthquake, which was recorded as 5.2 in terms of magnitude on the Richter Scale as per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), had its epicentre in the Hindukush mountain range, with a depth of 189 kilometres.
