Police opened fire on a suspicious car when it signaled to stop near Peshawar Interchange on Motorway.
According to Motorway police spokesman, a white corolla car heading to Peshawar bearing number plate CA-116 stopped at an interchange outside Peshawar city.
“Police instructed the driver to stop the vehicle, but he did not, instead, one of them pointed gun at police officer and the driver sped away,” motorway spokesman Muhammad Ali Khokhar told Samaa.
He said police fired shot at the vehicle and chased after it. The driver sped the car back to Islamabad.
Officials said the suspects were heading to Peshawar, adding that two men and woman were onboard the vehicle, as their motives were unknown.
Meanwhile, police said one of the two men was arrested. He was identified as Kashif. Police were investigating him
