    Residents protest hours-long power outages in Peshawar Residents protest hours-long power outages in Peshawar

    Hundreds of people belonging to Tarojabba, located in between Peshawar and Nowshehra, took to streets on Monday to protest against prolonged power outages.

    The protesters blocked the GT road for traffic and chanted extreme slogans against Wapda and attacked PESCO office located in Wapda colony. Enraged people entered the office while breaking the gate and smashed the computers and other valuable devices.

    The protesters also raised slogans against Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Pervaiz Khattak.

    The demonstrators were of the view that their area receives electricity only for four hours whereas residents are facing severe problems due to loadshedding in the month of Ramazan.

    Heavy contingent of police also reached the scene during the protest.
