Imran Khan File Photos Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday visited Lady Reading Hospital to inquire after health of cyclone victims and oversee medical facilities for them.

Imran Khan reached the hospital without protocol accompanied by his wife Reham Khan and party leaders. The PTI chief was briefed by hospital administration about medical facilities being provided to cyclone-victims.

"I wanted to come earlier but didn't due to hearing of judicial commission in Islamabad," Khan said while talking to media in the hospital.

He said he was in contact with the hospital administration receiving complete updates about the situation. "Although I was in Islamabad but was well aware of every development here."

Replying to a question, he said "we have no interest in photo sessions. Hospital management faces difficulty during VIP movements, therefore, I deliberately did not come here yesterday" Imran Khan said.

He also justified Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak’s late visit to the hospital as well as the CM’s no-show in relief and rescue activities till Monday evening.

A severe storm which hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dubbed as "mini-cyclone", killed 45 people and injured more than 200 on Monday.
